ICHAM proudly collaborated with Starmed \ Intersurgical to organize two days of seminars held on June 18th and 20th in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The Intersurgical delegation was composed by Mr. Vincenzo Pincelli and Mr. Giorgio Fiorin, together with Dr. Paolo Navalesi, Professor of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Univ. "Magna Graecia" of Catanzaro, Italy, and was accompanied by ICHAM Chairman Mr. Michele D’Ercole and Executive Director Mr. Hoang Hai Pham.
After the intervention of Dr. Paolo Navalesi on this newest technology available, the audience, which counted for around 50 guests in Ho Chi Minh City and 55 in Hanoi, had the chance to test the new helmet to understand how the patient could react to this method of ventilation and to experience how user-friendly this product really is.
The Starmed range of respiratory hoods has been designed for both non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and CPIP therapy, providing an alternative patient interface to traditional masks. The use of the hood interface has been associated with increased patient comfort and improved NIV outcome, leading to reduced total ventilation time and ICU length of stay.
The seminars were followed by a buffet lunch, chance to network with possible buyers and to get a closer look to the product showcased. Furthermore, all the participants were sent the material from the useful presentation of Dr. Paolo Navalesi and Intersurgical remains available to provide more information.
ICHAM would like to thank all the participants, the press, Intersurgical and Dr. Paolo Navalesi for this valuable collaboration.
