Shortly after its launch in Hanoi, EuroCham will present the 11th edition of the Whitebook on 20 March in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Whitebook is the Chamber’s landmark publication on trade and investment issues and recommendations. Published in every year since 2007, the Whitebook is the main product of EuroCham’s core activity: advocacy.

This Whitebook Briefing will be a unique discussion on trade and investment in Vietnam, with a focus on the role of the European business community in Ho Chi Minh City with the theme:

THE EU-VIETNAM FREE TRADE AGREEMENT- HO CHI MINH CITY AS BRIDGE TO EUROPE.

The event will count on the presence of business and Ho Chi Minh leaders as well as EuroCham’s key partners.

The discussion will include two parts: the assessment of recent Ho Chi Minh City’s innovative policies and European Trade and Investments and key issues and recommendations from the European business community in Vietnam in the 11th edition of the Whitebook. The publication is a collective message that cuts across several industries and companies, dealing with diverse sectoral and cross-sectoral topics, while reflecting the views and expectations of EuroCham members and partners.

1. Theme and contents: Whitebook Briefing – EVFTA, HCMC as bridge to Eurocham;

After Opening speeches given by Eurocham, EU Delegation and HCMC Leaders, the Sector Committees (7) will present on their key recommendations.

The Panel discussion will focus on the City current FDI – EU investments, new policies, implementation of pilot special program under Resolution 54, other projects and cooperation opportunities with EU (trade, customs and trade facilitation, Smart and Innovative City, European Village day, PPP, Human Resource & Training, networking EU-VN and VN-EU (B2G), etc.)
