The South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk is inviting you to an upcoming webinar with the focus on “How to expand your Geographical Indication to South-East Asia”.
Geographical Indications, also known as GIs, have an important economic value and are increasingly appreciated in South-East Asia (SEA) countries. Their protection can be key to your success abroad. In this live session, you will have the opportunity to learn key aspects on the GI scenario in the 10 SEA countries, such as why protecting your GI is so important, what can and cannot be protected as a GI, as well as how to register your GI in South-East Asia.
Our speaker will be Ms. Ester Olivas Caceres, External Expert of the South-East Asia Helpdesk, and author of the recently released Guide to Geographical Indications in South-East Asia. Ester has more than 20 years of experience as a Lawyer Senior Consultant specialized on Geographical Indications, providing technical and legal counseling to producers and governments worldwide on how to develop and protect their GIs.
During the session, you will be able to enjoy a lively discussion, having the unique opportunity to actively participate, asking questions directly to the expert.
