On February 18, H.E Antonio Alessandro, Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam had a working visit in Bac Giang province. Accompanied by Mr. Duong Hai Hung, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Michele D’Ercole , Chairman and Mr. Quyet Tran, Executive Director of Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM); representatives of a number of Italian organizations and businesses. Greeting and accompanying the delegation was Mr. Duong Anh Le, Chairman of Bac Giang’s Provincial People’s Committee.
On behalf of the leaders of Bac Giang province, Mr. Duong Anh Le would like to thank Ambassador Antonio Alessandro and the delegation for taking the time to visit Bac Giang right in the early days of the Lunar New Year. Recently, Bac Giang province has not had many cooperation activities with Italian partners. The export value of Bac Giang enterprises to this market in 2021 only reach more than 36.613 million USD. The import value of businesses in Bac Giang province from the Italian market in 2021 reach more than $4,140 million with main products such as spectrometers, drilling machines used in production, surface treatment machines, and press equipment, heaters, sensors..); garment materials (woven fabrics, labels…).
The first time he came to Bac Giang, H.E. Antonio Alessandro was very interested in the province’s two strengths: agricultural production and wood processing. The Ambassador hoped that in the coming time, Italian businesses would approach the focal agencies of Bac Giang province to cooperate. The two sides can organize seminars for the Italian side to exchange experiences in bringing agricultural products, wood products and brands to the market. Invite to attend fairs and exhibitions organized by the Italian side. In addition to modern machinery and technology, they also transfer experience and create a series of products of each region.
On the same day, the delegation visited Vifoco Agri-product Processing Plan (Song Khe commune, Bac Giang city) and Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province.
