In November 2025, in response to the severe devastation caused by successive major storms and sudden flooding across Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), in cooperation with the Vietnam–Italy Friendship Association, launched a fundraising campaign to support affected communities during the final two months of 2025. These natural disasters resulted in extensive damage to homes, schools, and critical infrastructure, pushing many families into particularly vulnerable circumstances.
Building on the success of last year’s initiative supporting northern mountainous provinces, the campaign once again underscored ICHAM’s enduring commitment to corporate social responsibility and community solidarity. The fundraising efforts focused on restoring essential living conditions for vulnerable households, assisting damaged educational facilities to enable students to return to school as soon as possible, and providing critical supplies such as clean water filtration equipment, food provisions, and educational materials, in close coordination with local authorities.
Thanks to the generous contributions and strong sense of solidarity shown by members, partners, and friends, the campaign successfully raised a total of 86,132,000 VND, equivalent to approximately EUR 3,270. This meaningful contribution not only reflects the spirit of mutual support and shared social responsibility within the Italian–Vietnamese business community, but also provides a solid foundation for the on-site implementation of humanitarian assistance scheduled for January 2026, ensuring that timely and tangible support reaches the affected communities.
In the next phase, ICHAM and the Vietnam–Italy Friendship Association will continue to work closely together to ensure that all assistance is delivered transparently, effectively, and promptly to those most in need. Updates on the implementation process will be officially communicated by ICHAM in due course.
