The TradeMark
“OSPITALITÀ ITALIANA, RISTORANTI NEL MONDO” is an initiative introduced in 2009-2010, which aims to select the best Italian restaurants in the world and award them the prestigious label. Initiated by Unioncamere and carried out with the support of the National Institute for Tourism Research (IS.NA.R.T.), the project’s primary purpose is to ensure the high quality standards of Italian agri-food products and to protect Italian cuisine from the phenomenon of Italian sounding (the so-called phenomenon of evoking Italy through images and typical products by misleading people into believing that they are authentic).
Why should you join the initiative?
The companies that choose to participate in the project make an “identity choice”, putting Italianness at the center of their business model. While incorporating local innovations and adaptations, these restaurants maintain solid ties to tradition, demonstrated by the experience of their chefs, pizza makers and gelato makers as masters of Italian cuisine.
Restaurants that decide to join the initiative will enhance the image of their business, creating a deeper connection with Italy. The brand, together with the “True Italian Taste” campaign (http://www.trueitaliantaste.com/), raises end-consumer awareness of the close connection of merchants with producers in Italy.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) is the exclusive licensee of the certification for the Vietnamese market. We invite all interested businesses to explore this extraordinary opportunity to enhance the value of Italian wine and food products in international markets!
