CUOA Business School Study Tour in Ho Chi Minh City

From May 8 to May 10, 2025, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) successfully organized a study tour in Ho Chi Minh City for 25 MBA students from CUOA Business School—one of Italy’s leading institutions in business and management education. This immersive three-day program aimed to deepen academic understanding, explore business innovation in Vietnam, and strengthen bilateral relations between Italy and Vietnam.

Day 1: Academic Exchange and Italian Industry Insights

The tour commenced with an academic session at RMIT University Vietnam, fostering a valuable exchange of knowledge between Italian students and Vietnamese academic leaders. The delegation then visited GIVI Vietnam, a prominent Italian brand operating successfully in the local market, gaining first-hand insights into international business operations in Vietnam.

The day concluded with a distinguished welcome reception hosted by the Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Enrico Padula, and Mrs. Milena Guarino Padula. The event brought together members of the Italian-Vietnamese business community and institutional partners, creating a warm and collaborative atmosphere.

Day 2: Innovation, Engineering & Startup Engagement

On the second day, the CUOA delegation visited the Department of Textile Engineering – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology (Đại học Bách Khoa TP.HCM). The session provided up-to-date insights into Vietnam’s dynamic textile sector—one of the country’s key export industries.

The next stop was the Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC), where students engaged with two innovative Vietnamese startups. This session highlighted the energy and creativity of Vietnam’s growing startup ecosystem.

The day wrapped up with a visit to Datalogic Vietnam, a global leader in data capture and automation technology. The students toured the production line and learned about Datalogic’s advanced manufacturing processes and innovation strategies.

Day 3: Cultural Exploration and Local Understanding

To complete the journey, the Italian students explored some of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic landmarks, including the Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum, and Ben Thanh Market. These visits offered deeper cultural and historical perspectives, rounding out a holistic view of life and society in Vietnam.

A Bridge Between Education, Innovation, and International Collaboration

This study tour not only broadened students’ perspectives on business and education in Southeast Asia but also reinforced the strong connection between Vietnam and Italy in the areas of trade, education, and innovation.
