VDAS LAUNCHES THE VINFAST FUTURE BLUE GRAPHIC DESIGN CONTEST 2021

On April 9, 2021, Vietnam Design Association – Ho Chi Minh City (VDAS) officially announced the “VinFast Future Blue Graphic Design Contest 2021 (VFBC 2021)” taking place from April 9 to May 9, 2021, under the sponsorship of VinFast. The contest kicked off a series of events throughout the year of the award system “VMARK Design Awards | Concept 2021”. With the spirit of “Go Boundless”, VMARK Design Awards 2021 will not only a place to initiate outstanding design ideas but also a breakthrough and create a solid foundation for a green, intelligent and sustainable future.

VinFast Future Blue Graphic Design Contest 2021 (VFBC 2021) belongs to the “Brand Design & Graphics” category of the “VMARK Design Awards | Concept 2021” award system. Throughout the year, VMARK Design Awards 2021 will continue to hold unique creative design contests for each category of the system, including Industrial Design; Fashion Design & Lifestyle, Multimedia; Digital Design…

“Digital background design” and “Creative merchandise design” are the two main topics and genres of VFBC 2021. The topic “Digital background design” requires unlimited creativity from the designer in creating digital backgrounds honoring modernity, making a solid mark for VinFast’s electric cars. Meanwhile, the topic “Creative merchandise design” wants designers to focus on different thinking in designing brand identity systems to apply to unique and impressive products, maximizing the brand’s core values, increasing competitiveness in the global branding race.

VFBC 2021 brings together the jury board to select the best works, representing the VDAS Vietnam Design Association, famous professors and top designers; representatives of international creative organizations and associations such as Mr. Richard Moore – Designer, Chairman & Ideation Director of Richard Moore Associates; Mr. Oliver Lin – Designer, Vice President of Taiwan Design Research Institute; Ms. Tran Ngoc Danh – Designer, Vice President of VDAS & Vietnam Design Award VMARK; Mr. Eisuke Tachikawa – Designer, Founder of Nosigner Innovator Expert & Jury Board Director of Japan Good Design Awards; Mr. Casey Huyn – Futurist Designer Principal – Founder Global Design Index & Professor Incheon National Design University; Mr. Felipe Taborda – Design Specialist, author, and curator; Mr. Khoa Do – Architect, Associate Professor at Curtin University Adjunct Principal of Research, Education and Practice at Hames Sharley; and Ms. Doan Kieu My – Marketing Director of VinFast.

Designers participating in the VFBC 2021 will officially register and submit the work from April 9 to May 9, 2021. The results of the contest will be officially announced on May 19, 2021 with a total prize structure of more than 200 million VND, including 1 First prize is 1 Klara S e-scooter and 2 accompanying batteries worth 58,200,000 VND; 1 Second prize is 1 Feliz e-scooter worth 25,000,000 VND; 1 The third prize is a cash prize of 5,000,000 VND and 10 Consolation prizes are a cash prize, each prize is worth 2,000,000 VND.

Following the success of design competitions organized by VDAS and VinFast, VFBC 2021 promises to create a creative playground that goes boundless for designers in Vietnam. The success of holding national and international design competitions is also an affirmation of VDAS’s strong capacity as one of the leading organizations connecting the creative design community now.
