ICHAM at Propak Vietnam 2019

ICHAM is honored to state that they participated in ProPak & Printech Vietnam 2019, held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in HCMC, from March 19th to 21st 2019. This event is held every year from 2005 in Vietnam, and it has been proven to be the largest trade event for processing and packaging industries in Indochina. The aim of this 3-day fair is to present technology suppliers involved in food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing and packaging, and printing and labeling industries. Many manufacturing sector leaders gathered in HCMC for this event, which saw an interesting and strong participation of Italian companies.

The Italian booth at ProPak showcased 22 Italian firms in total, all supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. The majority of the participating Italian exhibitors, which have relevant branches in Vietnam, were seeking trade opportunities in this rapidly expanding market.

ProPak represents a paramount opportunity for every attending Italian company every year, for the processing and packaging field is meeting a rapid expansion in Vietnam in particular.

In fact, Mr Paolo Lemma, Trade Commissioner for ITA – Italian Trade Agency, added that: “In 2018, Italy remained one of the leading manufacturers in the packaging and printing industry. In the January-November period of 2018, the total export turnover of Italian packaging and printing machinery for the food, beverage and tobacco sectors amounted to some 3.9 billion euros, of which the value of equipment and machinery exported from Italy to Vietnam was posted at 25.2 million euros, up by 2.4% from 2017”.

Vietnam is indeed a fast-growing market, while Italy is its third main exporter (28,2 mln€). This expansion potential of the Vietnamese market represents a valuable asset for the Italian manufacturing sector.

By way of conclusion, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam is honoured to witness this powerful development in the machinery sector. All the participating companies will have the chance to benefit from activities and networks opportunities in Vietnam offered by ICHAM.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce does recognize the growing potential of the machinery field and, in this regard, is glad to announce that a b2b event has been launched: Machinery Made in Italy (Hanoi, October 1st – 2nd 2019) https://icham.org/machinery-made-in-italy.
